Color Combinations Can Be Fun

Every year the people "in the know" come up with the colors of the year, and shove it down the throats of every bride-to-be. Wedding professionals tend to see those colors for about a year or so, then suddenly they're replaced with other colors that are obviously far superior to those tired colors from the previous year that you shouldn't be seen dead using.

Let me be the first to say that I think that's pretty dumb, if you couldn't tell. You should use whatever colors you like for your wedding, regardless of whether some "expert" tells you that it's in or out. Remember the story of the trend that never was?

So here's a tool to have some fun with. You can use Color Scheme Designer to find different color schemes, using the wheels at the top of the page to find colors in different combinations. You can even see what it would look like if you were colorblind, just for variety.

When you find a palette that you like, choose "export" and it will give you a link to copy so that you can send the combination to all of your wedding professionals (to make it easier for us to get the colors right.) Very handy.

Thank you so much for posting this very helpful information -

And yes like you - i say to my Brides - "what colours do you like" - "not what the latest fashion is - because those colours may bit suit your colouring/style/eyes".

Some cuatomers even seem quiet relived that they *don't* have to go with whats *in* at the moment.

Me - i wore black 2nd time around - and the whole theme was black and white.

Many thanks again
